Sports Massage is a deep form of massage, which involves the mobilisation and manipulation of soft tissue.

Although is specifically designed to help people who are constantly physically active, sports massage is suitable for everybody who needs help and support on treating injuries, muscles aches and manage chronic pains.

Sports Massage has a focused and systematic approach. Through a various range of massage techniques used this massage helps treat minor and chronic injuries as well as helps realign and loosen muscle fibres. It can also be used to improve posture and mobility and as a preventive therapy.

 

During a Sports Massage session the therapist uses techniques of soft tissue massage, myofascial release, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy. This treatment is often offered along assisted stretching and dry needling.

Although Deep Tissue Massage and Sports Massage have some similiarity in the technique used, Deep Tissue Massage therapists helps relieve pain and common muscle tensions while Sports Massage Therapists are trained in treating sport-related injuries and help with recovery and rehabilitation.
